- Dordt Book Market: in early July the city centre turns into one of the largest book markets in Europe.
- Dordt in Stoom: every two years Dordrecht is all about steamships, steam trains and steam engines.
- Big Rivers: a free music festival in the city centre, with stages on squares and along the water.
- Dordtse Decemberdagen (Dordt December Days): from mid-December to early January the historic city centre is beautifully lit, with a December market, a Winter Garden at the Grote Kerk, the Dwaalspoor light trail and boat tours past the illuminated harbours.
- Dordts Wintercircus Royal (Dordt Winter Circus): during the Christmas holidays, an international circus show for the whole family in a big top on the Laan van Europa.
